Baby Waiting - 39 Weeks Pregnant

ikea baby toys

I'm finally on maternity leave. My poor, swollen feet and ankles just couldn't take standing up at work all day anymore. Not to mention, the weight of the baby makes my pelvis feel like it's disintegrating. So now I'm sitting at home with little to do besides experiment with ways to speed up early labor and shift into the active phase. Yes, I've been in "early labor" for almost 2 weeks now. Nothing seems to work.... ughh. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them!

I think I've also started my nesting phase. I have had this new spurt of energy the past couple days and have been channeling it into cleaning the house and arranging the baby's room. The nursery still needs some decorating work, but it at least looks like a nursery now and not just a spare room full of piled up stuff!

Baby Hickman still doesn't have a name yet, but the good news is, we have narrowed our choices down to a few! Hopefully we'll be able to make a decision soon. He will be here any day now! Until then, I'll just keep waiting, waiting, waiting.....

  3. Honestly the only thing that ever really helped me with get labor to really kick in was a membrane sweep. I had one done on the Friday after my due date with my daughter and she arrived by 7 am Saturday morning.
