Fruit for Thought

I just love summertime! The weather is warm (or blazing hot for some....which I personally prefer over cold), plants and trees are lush and in full bloom, bodies of water are now warm enough to swim in, and all of my favorite fruits are in season!! To celebrate my favorite time of year, I have compiled a wishlist of fun, fruity things. From crop tops and bikinis, to citrus shower gel and temporary tattoos... I'm in love with all things - fruit!

What's your favorite fruit?!

Sunday Style

This whole outfit came from Forever 21 and I'm pretty excited about it! These days, I hardly ever find Forever 21 clothing that I like. This is probably because I'm not 21 anymore... or a teenager, rather, as it's obviously the age range that they cater to the most. However, every now and then, I find a few precious gems to add to my wardrobe! Currently, these are those gems.

Style Your Candles

I still have tons of votive candles left over from my wedding that was almost two years ago. They've just been sitting in a big box, collecting dust, in the laundry room this whole time. So, the other day, I decided to take some of them out and actually use them! However, unless you have twenty or thirty of them lit and scattered around in a dimly lit room, they look kind of bland. This sparked a little idea... Washi tape, of course! As I'm sure most of you know, it's such a perfect and inexpensive way to stylize pretty much anything!

For this little project, I used washi tape sheets and just cut them to size before wrapping them around the candles. The decorating possibilities are endless!

Have you decorated anything with washi tape lately?

New Arrivals & Sponsor Sale!

Lots of good things have been happening lately! I've been super busy working and collaborating with some really cool people and companies. Aside from that, I've recently added some new necklaces to the shop, and I'm telling you... These are just too cute and they are selling like crazy! So if you see one you like, hurry over to my shop and snatch it up!  Also, as you will see towards the bottom of this post, I am having a big advertising sale! Be sure to take advantage of that.

^^^CLICK TO SHOP^^^

As I said above, I'm running a sale this week on ad spaces for my blog! May 15-22 only! I have discounted 20% OFF the prices on all of the advertising opportunities on my SPONSOR page!! So, are you a blogger or business looking to get tons of more exposure?! Visit my sponsor page and don't miss out on this awesome advertising sale!! I can't wait to professionally whore you out via social media! :)

I very recently did a clean sweep on all of my sponsors to start over fresh.  This isn't because I didn't like any of my previous sponsors! I just had a mess on my hands with some sponsors being managed through two different companies, and then some being managed by myself. I just couldn't keep up with it all! However, Matthew from Adproval, fixed all of that for me when he told me that the Adproval system was going through some pretty big changes. He asked me to be one of the first to beta test it a couple days ago! I must say, it has most definitely improved! I absolutely love it!

They're working with Stripe now (instead of Amazon Payments) for payment processing and it's way faster and easier to get that set up. All around, it's just so much better than any other ad managing company that I've used, and I highly recommend it.

If any of my lovely readers would like to beta test the New Adproval, email Matthew at Matthew@Adproval.com!

DIY Mother's Day Gift

This year, Mother's Day kind of sneaked up on me. I thought it was next Sunday, but just found out it's THIS Sunday! Sadly, I'll be out of town this weekend, so I won't be able to celebrate with my mom... but luckily, I already had this diy candle made for her! This scented soy candle is a sweet and simple way to show appreciation for the dear mom in your life.

What you'll need:
2-3 cups of soy wax
Candle wicks
Tape
Mason jar
Scented oil of your choice

1.) Pour wax crumbles in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Repeat until the wax is completely melted.
2.) Add scented oil to the melted wax and stir. I added about 10 drops of each scent.
3.) Pour the wax into the jar. Then poke a hole through a piece of tape, stick a wick through it, and tape it to the top of the jar so the wick can be held upright until the candle has solidified.
4.) Let it sit for a couple hours until it's completely solid.

That's all there is too it! Get creative with it... mix some of your mom's favorite scents to make the perfect candle just for her!

Along with this lovely candle, I got an awesome card from Treat.! Rather than just picking one out at the store, I got to fully customize this one! They have tons of designs and customization options. It's much more personal than grabbing one at Walgreen's or wherever, in my opinion. ;)

Sunday Style

Yesterday, Cody and I finally took a day off from disaster recovery work to rest and spend some quality time together... and by quality time, I mean, I had Cody take pictures of me for my blog. I'm kidding! We did other things too. After this little session, we went to get some ice cream, then drove back home to play with the dogs. We spread a blanket out on the lawn and enjoyed the beautiful, warm afternoon. He read a book and browsed Pinterest on his iPad for landscaping ideas for our yard, while I edited photos and occasionally yelled at Harper for barking too much at the neighborhood children. If that doesn't describe quality time, I don't know what does! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
