2 Amazing Aveda Products for Voluminous Hair

aveda products review - phomollient - volumizing tonic
Hairstyling - Aveda products
I looove Aveda and I'm excited to be sharing some of my favorite products! I used this product line for the first two years of my hairstyling career, and it's been one of my favorite brands ever since! All of the products are derived from plants and are certified organic. So no harsh chemicals or any of that yucky stuff. Everything smells so amazing, too, like the best parts of nature... but without the allergies. I'm now back in a salon that uses Aveda and I couldn't be happier! So here are a couple of my faves... volumizing tonic and phomollient.

Aveda styling products

Phomollient - This weightless styling foam creates body and shine on fine to medium hair. I have fine textured hair. Long, straight, and no natural volume. It's basically angel hair pasta growing out of my head. At least, that's how it seems to me.

I pump out the foam 3-4 times (about the size of a golf ball), rub it between my hands, and work it through my damp hair from roots to ends. This is the only mousse-like product I've found that doesn't weigh my hair down. I should also add that it smells like leaves and honey.

Volumizing tonic - Like the phomollient, this spray is weightless and adds loads of volume! Pair it with the styling foam for some serious bombshell hair. No joke. You can put the teasing comb away. It's also enhanced with some of the best essential oils. I could totally bathe in this stuff.

I spritz the tonic throughout my damp hair, concentrating mostly at the roots.

For the style in this review/mini tutorial, I blow-dried with a round brush and finished with a 1.5" curling iron.
