Old Hollywood

I know I've just been posting a lot of photos on here lately, but there's been
so much going on that I have to show pictures! From random photo shoots just
for fun, to an old Hollywood birthday bash for a very dear friend. And there's a lot
more that went on this week that I don't even have photos of right now... Like mine 
and Cody's engagement shoot Tuesday night, and kickball with friends 
Thursday (sadly, I just watched and cheered because I'm athletically challenged). 
All in all... A very fun and eventful week. I got three hours of sleep last 
night and worked all day today. I don't know how I am alive right now. 
Also, I may or may not have stolen some of these pictures from various friends. Love you!!

Home Sweet Home

We recently started renting the cutest house but it's so empty! Right now, I have 

a bed to sleep in and that's about it! We don't even have curtains! However, I'm 

about to have a yard sale and get rid of most of my stuff from the old apartment 

to make room for some new things. I can't wait until we get everything moved in!

Bachelorette Party!

We celebrated my bachelorette party in Memphis last night and I couldn't have 

asked for anything better from my "woo-girls"! Haha. My body is pretty sore

from dancing but it was well worth it! Oh, and I recommend eating at Local Gastropub 

if you're ever downtown. The food is phenomenal! Man, I really do have some amazing

friends who definitely know how to have a good time (and give some good advice)!  

I can't wait to be Mrs. Hickman. Just 7 weeks to go! 

Fall Lip Colors

I've been neglecting the ol' blog lately... blame it on the wedding. I've gotten 

a lot accomplished but there's still soooo much to do! No stress though. 

It's still a ton of fun! I would post the progress on the DIY decorations and 

stuff, but I decided that I want it to be a surprise to my guests so I'll have to

wait until after the wedding. :)

ANYWAY... Fall is just around the corner and honestly, the color palette of

the season can sometimes be a bit drab. So liven up your look with these bold lip

colors! From fuchsia to deep burgundy.. I love them all! (Remember - Keep your

eye makeup on the natural side when opting for a bold lip!)

Hairology

Doing hair for a living definitely has it's perks...I get to hang out with

friends, get the inside scoop on all the latest trends, and get free services for 

my own hair (of course)! It's definitely one of the funnest forms of art to me as well.

I just love enhancing or creating styles to make people look and feel awesome!

Fall Faves

I love summertime but I am so ready for fall to be here...for my 

wedding (of course)! Also, for the leaves falling and layering clothes... 

gold liner and new hair styles. Yesss.. I can't wait!

On another note... I want to give a little advice to all my lovely readers.

It's perfectly ok to gather ideas and inspiration from people around you, 

especially if you give them some credit, but if someone is copying everything 

you do.. Whether its professional or personal (in my case, professional) it can

be quite flattering at first.. But let me tell you, it gets really old really fast.

So if you do that, just go ahead and stop because people will catch on and

then it's not fun for anyone.

Wedding inspiration

79 days until the wedding!! I'm having so much fun planning everything out... my brain

is constantly flowing with ideas! It's a little exhausting already, but there is never a

dull moment! We have booked an amazing venue and I've already found a gown I love.
My wonderful bridesmaids have picked out their perfect dresses and I've been busy
crafting decorations. I can't wait for the big day!
