Sadly, the glorious snow only graced us with it's wintery presence for a day and a half before it all melted away. Since we knew it wasn't going to last very long, we decided to take full advantage of it and play in it as much as possible! We made snow angels, had a snowball fight, and built a snowman... you know, all of the typical snow stuff. Once again, Brooks slept through all the fun, but I know he had a blast. What do you think of our snowman? He looks kind of sad...

Do You Want to Build a Snowman: Part 1
We finally got some snow! Before today, it seemed like everywhere in the entire country was covered in a blanket of snow except us. After only a couple hours, we already had several inches! This is almost unheard of in the 'Sip. I mean, we might get a few flakes here and there every other year, but nothing like this. So you can see why we were pretty excited.
Cody came home from work early and we immediately went outside to play. It didn't last very long... 'cause like I said... we aren't used to all of this cold, white stuff. We stayed out long enough to snap some fun pictures though. Little Brooks didn't really wake up to experience his first time in the snow, but I like to think that he still enjoyed it.

6 Awesome Products For Baby
I've only been a mom for two weeks, but I'm already in love with these products! Brooks is still getting used to the Mamaroo seat. He loves it when he's in the mood for it, and I love that I can safely strap him in it while I take care of other things around the house. I can also use it as a white noise machine at night. What B really likes, though, is my Solly Baby Wrap. After a full day of him fussing and crying, I finally wrapped him up in it for the first time yesterday and he immediately went to sleep! It was amazing.
Cody did a lot of car seat research while I was pregnant and found that the Cybex Aton Q was one of the safest on the market. We figured if we were going to splurge on anything, it should be the one thing that can possibly save his little life. So, it's a pricey car seat, but it's totally worth it to us.
As for the rest of my product list; The Timi & Leslie diaper bag is awesome because it's full of pockets and compartments that hold literally everything for Brooks and me, and still looks like a regular handbag. Love! The 4moms bathtub and Summer Swaddle Pods are perfect for B's bedtime routine. He gets cleaned up in the temperature controlled tub and then cuddles up in his swaddle pod. The pod has a zipper and is super convenient for changing diapers. We tried swaddling blankets and velcro swaddlers but found that they are just more of a hassle to get him in and out of.

Announcing, Baby Brooks!
He's finally here! Brooks Wilder Hickman arrived Monday night at 9:14. He weighed 8lbs, 4oz, and measured 20.25 in. He's happy and healthy and we couldn't be more in love! We're home now and trying to get the hang of things with our little guy. So far, I've gotten about 3 hours of sleep this week and Cody's been pee'd on twice while changing him. This is going to be fun!
I'll be posting more about little Brooks, labor and delivery, and all that good baby stuff soon!
