Estate Sales and BBQ

Our Saturday started off with an estate sale in the middle of nowhere. Everything
was so incredibly old. I mean, the couple who lived there had to be well over
a hundred, but that's just my guess! Their musty, old house was filled with really pretty
quilts and fairly nice furniture. We didn't buy anything though. It's always fun
to just pilfer through an estate sale. You usually end up learning some interesting
things about the people who lived there.

And this evening, we hosted a little, impromptu bbq/swim party with a few
friends. Little Jack was really good at pool tricks like flipping and diving... until
he tripped on the diving board and scraped his elbow! Awww... bless him.

Family Fun Time

Cody and I rode the motorcycle to my parents house yesterday to celebrate a late
fathers day, my mom's 50th birthday, and my brother's 27th. Ryan (my brother) and I
both live over an hour away from our parents -which doesn't seem like much-
but life seems to get in the way too much. It's difficult to find a day where we're all
able to spend time together. That's all right though... It just makes hanging out
with the fam even better!

Facelift

My little bloggy blog has been under construction lately. It's all fixed up now and
I feel much better. So continue to stop by for a visit and check out my daily (sometimes weekly) happenings, tutorials, fashion favorites, and more!
New look... Same great flavor!

Kevin.Murphy Full.Again Review

I was introduced to the amazing Kevin.Murphy hair product line about two
years ago... And I.Fell.In.Love! I love everything about this product line, from
the delicious smells of plant extracts and essential oils, to the true-to-its-word,
incredible performance. So right now I want to share one of my favorite
products, Full.Again.
Full.Again is a weightless, thickening lotion. I have fine textured hair so this is one
of my hair's best friends! It has rayon particles that attach to your hair and
create a thicker surface which makes your hair act thicker.

Here's how I use it....
1.) Squeeze out about a quarter size of Full.Again and rub it into your hands. Then
rub it really well into your towel-dried hair, from mid-lengths to ends, as you
twist your hair...this helps the product cover all the hair. You'll start to feel
the product thickening your strands.

2.) Blow dry your hair until it's 100% dry. If I'm working on a client, I will
usually blow it out with a big round brush to get lift and movement for
that "bombshell" look. For myself, I just rough dry my hair with my hands, flip
my head over, brush it out, and continue to dry it upside-down. Either
way works great!

3.) Enjoy your new, thicker texture! You can also curl it for extra fullness. I used
a 1 1/2" curling iron and curled 1-2" sections. Then, lightly brushed out
 the curls.

Have you ever tried Kevin.Murphy products? Which are your favorites?

So, we built a hovercraft...

I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than building a
hovercraft! It was a very simple model and just took the guys a couple
of hours to make. Sadly, the craft only lasted about twenty minutes before the
street had torn up the bottom. Nonetheless, it was a great first try and
totally worth it!
